Are you a chess fan? Love to instruct others? Do you have the capacity to teach a group of young people good sportsmanship? then you have discovered the ideal position.
For our after-school enrichment program, Chess Wizards is looking for talented chess instructors. We're looking for exceptional people who can foster kids' love of the game, make chess entertaining, and improve our students' life skills. Therefore, submit an application to Chess Wizards if you're looking for a fascinating side business and believe you can be a charming chess tutor. and earn money while doing it!
$50 to $75 for each class!
There are up to five classes per week that run from 2 to 5 p.m.
All of our Wizard Tutors are expected to attend at least one class per week.
Essentials of Chess Wizards:
- A little chess talent! You don't need to be an expert; all you need is a positive outlook, and our staff will help you learn!
- Previous experience as a camp counselor, tutor, or teacher is required.
- The ability to impart to young people the notion that creativity and knowledge are real magic.
- The ability to foster links between solving chess problems and solving problems in everyday life
- Lead engaging, amiable, and enjoyable lessons for 10 to 15 children.
- A sincere desire to set a good example and foster sportsmanship
- Keep in regular contact with supervisors to make sure your students have a wonderful experience.
- The inventiveness to use the student-tested curriculum and instructional materials from Chess Wizard (and we offer full training!)
- The ability to travel by vehicle
- The ability to transport and store course materials - The ability to consistently arrive on time - A USCF rating is a plus!
- Last but not least, carry out the Chess Wizards mission in your classroom: give our students a welcoming, safe, and fun learning environment; motivate lifelong learning; and foster community through the game of chess.
