Northwest Kidney Centers is looking for a skilled, motivated, and meticulous grant writer to assist with our ambitious fundraising targets as we fight kidney disease. Come work on a fantastic team!

Responsibilities

The grant writer is in charge of proactively looking for funding opportunities from governmental, private, and community foundations. This position requires an attention to detail, relationship-based work, and some storytelling. Multiple priorities must be managed, and strong follow through is necessary for this position. This position requires a self-starter and strategic thinker who can prioritize funding opportunities based on their likelihood of success as well as their award amount. They must also have strong autonomy and discretion. This is a chance to actively take part in building a strong grants program that will help the organization for many years to come. It will be anticipated that there will be a lot of outgoing proposal submissions at first. The intention is for the work to develop over time.to incorporate a greater proportion of renewals. A successful candidate will be able to take responsibility and initiative to guarantee that results are timely and of a high caliber.

Requirements

3-5 years of relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree are preferred.

Having experience writing grants for nonprofit organizations that support healthcare, education, or other causes and possessing proof of prior grant writing success

Preferred Qualifications

Strong storytelling and writing abilities; capacity for effective oral and written communication; knowledge of best practices for fund development preferred.

Shift

Full time, Days, 40 hours, Mon-Fri.
